Talking about Android Gingerbread, Google has just announced that it has decided to block access to users of the Android Gingerbread operating system and lower versions to all Google services. It is stated that as of September 27, 2021, the old Android user will no longer be able to sign in or use services such as Google Search, Gmail, YouTube, and Google Maps. But that only applies to the app version of Google services only. Meanwhile, Google services that are accessed through a browser or via the web can still be done, although there may be limitations. Google says that what they are doing is aimed at keeping its users safe. The reason is currently Google is not presenting security updates for Android Gingerbread anymore which makes the operating system vulnerable to being hacked. Of course, the only thing that can be done to overcome this is to upgrade to the latest Android operating system or switch to a device that supports the latest Android.
