TheVerge outlines that Samsung has a feature similar to AirDrop that can share files remotely by activating Quick Share. Quick Share can be used on fellow Samsung smartphones. That feature can also be used to send files to devices that have SmartThings. Before Samsung, several Android device vendors also had AirDrop competitors, to send files to fellow smartphones from the same brand, including Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo. Since the appearance of AirDrop in 2011 on iOS and MacOS devices, Android has been trying to keep pace with file transfer technology through the peer-to-peer protocol transfer method. Android once had Android Beam, which is NFC-based, however, it is no longer continued on Android 10. Google also makes the File application, however, not a feature that is pasted directly to Android. The plan, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S20 line on 11 February.
