South Korea’s technology news portal, ETNews, reported that industry sources said that Samsung would install keyless technology without physical buttons on the next premium smartphone. The concept of a smartphone without a physical button is reportedly going to be introduced by Samsung on April 25. Chances are, the technology will be applied first on the Galaxy Note 10. During this time, smartphone designs on the flagship line of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note still rely on physical buttons for a number of specific functions, such as the power button, volume, and special Bixby keys. If the physical button is removed, what will it do? Quoting Gizmochina, Samsung is reportedly developing control technology through touch, such as for the volume up and down button. The keyless module manufacturer from China, NDT, has been mentioned as Samsung’s partner in developing the technology. It is known, NDT is developing module technology that is sensitive to touch or pressure. Interestingly, the touch button technology is also mentioned not only for Samsung’s premium smartphone line but also for Samsung’s middle and lower-class smartphones, such as the Galaxy A and Galaxy M. The concept of a smartphone without physical buttons was introduced earlier by a Chinese vendor, Meizu, through the Meizu Zero product. For the Galaxy Note 10, outstanding specifications leaked so far include the Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 5100 chipset with 5G or Exynos 9825, 12GB RAM, and up to 1TB of internal storage memory. Galaxy Note 10 also predicted as a smartphone – Samsung’s flagship class, first with four rear cameras. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 10 in August.
