Collections for Dungeons and Dragons
Select Collections from the toolbar at the top of the window once you’ve created a profile, and then the MY CAMPAIGNS tile. Click the CREATE A CAMPAIGN button near the upper right corner of the window from this page. Press the CREATE CAMPAIGN button in the lower left after writing a campaign title and description.
Creating a DnD Beyond campaign
Select your campaign from your Campaigns Manager now that it’s up and running. You should notice an invite link on the right side of the screen that you can email or text to your friends to invite them to your party. You’ll view them as active characters once they’ve joined. To discover them more readily the next time, click on their names and follow them. Scroll down to locate the buttons for adding private notes that are only visible to party members and public remarks that are visible to all party members. This is an excellent way to keep track of DM information that characters don’t have access to, as well as general tale notes that the players should keep track of.

How to Create Playable Characters and Non-Playable Characters

Beyond the Tools menu in DnD
As a DM, you may also create NPC characters by going to the same page where you make notes and clicking the CREATE UNASSIGNED CHARACTER button. Standard, Quick Build, and Randomize are the three techniques for creating characters.
Character creation in DnD Beyond has three possibilities.
Standard is the best option for players who are already familiar with D&D and want the most control over their characters. Quick Build retains a great deal of flexibility while also taking a lot of shortcuts. Randomize produces a character at random. This is a great method to make NPCs, characters for one-shot sessions, and experiment with alternative builds. Regardless of which choice you choose, the process is fairly simple, so this post will not walk you through it. You have six character slots in D&D Beyond. This is useful for creating distinct characters for different games and groups, as well as managing NPCs in ongoing campaigns.
How to Keep Track of Your Game Using the Character Sheet
Now that your campaign is up and running and your entire party has signed up, you can use the features and tools we’ve mentioned to keep track of your progress in real time. If you’re the DM for a session, you’ll most likely do so mostly using the public and private notes already mentioned. Other game tracking is done mostly by altering your character sheet, just like when playing on a traditional tabletop game. You may even execute a digitally generated dice roll while your character sheet is active by clicking the D20 button in the lower-left corner.
Managing your character in Dungeons & Dragons: Beyond
The buttons for short and long rests are in the upper right corner of your character sheet. You can also use them by going to the upper left corner of your character sheet and selecting your character icon. You can also choose MANAGE EXPERIENCE from this menu to get XP as you battle creatures and perform objectives.
In DnD Beyond, you can apply character conditions to your characters.
Hit points are applied via a basic counter beneath the long and short rest buttons. Select the CONDITIONS box below the hit points counter to open a menu of all common in-game conditions, replete with toggle switches, to apply or remove conditions.
In DnD Beyond, you can manage your character’s equipment.
Pick Equipment in the box below the conditions field and select the currency icon or the MANAGE EQUIPMENT button to examine your whole inventory and move items as your character obtains treasure, spends money, and loses or breaks weapons and armour. Users can record their own notes about their characters and their engagement in the campaign in the NOTES area in the same box.
